Disclaimer

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope it has been helpful.  Our lawyers have spent a lot of time putting in a great deal of information on here for victims, including information that is directed to people with claims that we would never consider handling (for example, property damage claims in auto accidents).  We do this because we want to help and we want to give back to the community.  We represent only victims for a reason.

Our attorneys really try hard to provide information you can use on this website and try not to use too much “lawyer speak.” Please forgive if this disclaimer strays from that paradigm a little. This disclaimer is a little dry but must be clear.

Please bear in mind that this website has been prepared for informational purposes only and is not intended to be regarded as legal or medical advice or counsel.

People visiting this site should obviously not act or refrain from acting in reliance on any content included in this site.  Reader should instead always seek appropriate legal or other professional advice based on the particular facts and circumstances and law applicable in the visitor’s case and from an attorney licensed to practice in the visitor’s state or jurisdiction. The content of this website contains general information and does not reflect a complete statement of the law on a given subject.  Sometimes you can fill a book with the exceptions to a rule. Our content may not contain the most current legal developments.  It also may not reflect the law applicable in the visitor’s particular state or jurisdiction.

Again, we are offering so many general rules on this website. You many trees would be lost with the exceptions to rules we set out (hopefully we usually make that fact clear in the context but we, at times, can’t or don’t).

If you have a specific need or question, please call your own attorney or contact a lawyer at Miller & Zois whether through this website or otherwise. By creating or maintaining this website, our firm does not enter into a lawyer-client relationship with any person, firm, corporation, or other entity visiting this site or reviewing or receiving any materials contained in or at this site.

Our office is based in Maryland and all of our lawyers are barred in Maryland and in some cases other jurisdictions such as Washington, DC.  Our lawyers are often involved in cases in other jurisdictions where we work with local attorneys.

Submitting a form does not create an attorney-client relationship.  Before signing a representation agreement, communications with our law firm do not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon by you.

Thank you.
