Nicholas M. Finch is a native of Baltimore, MD. He has committed himself to an incessant pursuit of knowledge by learning & analyzing various political systems around the globe.
While studying both Political Science & African American Studies at Columbia University, Nicholas developed a profound appreciation for research & writing. His classes at University introduced him to International Politics, the U.S. Legislative Process and Political Data Analysis. While these courses, among others, strengthened his passion for intersectional problem-solving, he sought to leave lasting impacts on the lives of others through his work off-campus.
Nicholas primarily worked at Columbia University's Alumni Fundraising Call Center where he was introduced to the realm of cold-calling and soliciting. He successfully urged alumni to donate to Student Financial Aid and he managed to help raise over $50,000 for the University. He served his legislative district in Baltimore by working for Congressman Elijah E. Cummings as a Congressional Black Caucus Intern. During his final year of college, Nicholas developed heartfelt friendships & intellectual bonds with his coaches & mentees at Let's Get Ready, an SAT tutoring program in Harlem. Nicholas managed 9 tutors and over 70 students at a high school in Harlem, and he still, today, supports SAT tutoring programs in his spare time.
Nicholas currently works as a Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant at Miller & Zois, LLC. He is currently receiving hands-on legal writing experience and learning how to analyze various legal documents. He is also tasked with helping the firm discover innovative ways to give back to the community. His goal is to find a new community project each month that deserves our time and/or money.
