How does this happen? It is often the result of medical malpractice because there was improper placement of the IV.<\/p>\n<h4> Hylton v. St. Joseph Medical Center <\/h4>\n<p>This is an IV infiltration injury case filed on behalf of a Baltimore County man. This case was filed in Maryland Health Claims Arbitration on February 10, 2016. It is the 50th medical malpractice case filed in 2016 in Maryland.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.millerandzois.com\/medical-malpractice\/maryland-hospital-malpractice-lawyer\/maryland-phlebotomist-malpractice\/\">Phlebotomist malpractice claims<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.millerandzois.com\/medical-malpractice\/maryland-hospital-malpractice-lawyer\/johns-hopkins-hospital-malpractice-claims\/blood-draw-nerve-lawsuit\/\">lawsuit against a Hopkins phlebotomist<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4> Summary of Plaintiff&#8217;s Allegations <\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright lazyload\" src=\"\/jshared\/img\/icons\/spinner.svg\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.millerandzois.com\/medical-malpractice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/baltimore_fell_point_1.jpg\" alt=\"Baltimore Fell's Point\"\/>The plaintiff is hospitalized at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.millerandzois.com\/medical-malpractice\/maryland-hospital-malpractice-lawyer\/st-joseph-hospital-malpractice-baltimore\/\">St. Joseph Medical Center<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.millerandzois.com\/claims-by-maryland-jurisdictions\/baltimore-county-personal-injury-lawyers\/\">Baltimore County<\/a>. During this time, he sustains IV infiltration injuries to his right arm due to the Health Care Providers failing to place an IV properly and failing to monitor after the infiltration.
